Stewart Dee, originally from the Emerald Isle and now based in Germany, is proud to present to you his debut solo album ‘Common Tones’. At this moment in time, Stewart Dee is a self-produced independent artist with a lifelong passion for music and songwriting. He first picked up a guitar as a teenager and naturally started playing in bands and has never looked back!
‘Common Tones’ became a labour of love. After an unplanned 10 year break from bands, writing and recording studios, Stewart Dee decided to get himself back into the studio. Life, love & relationships all have a story to tell with their ups & downs. Each story has its own soundtrack, and it is with these common themes that Stewart Dee sets the tone for this album. With the help of some great musicians and friends who simply showed an interest and helped out however they could, he can now present to you and share his debut solo album.
The recording industry has completely changed over the last 10 years and in many ways for the better, especially for independent artists who just want to share their music and have a chance to get heard. It’s not a case of sending a demo cassette tape by post to all of the labels in London and never getting a reply anymore like we did back in the day. The album is not available on cassette but is available as digital download and very nostalgically, thanks to pressing companies who continue to support independent artists, as a very limited run of 100 records on Vinyl. Should demand prove otherwise, the pressing plates are still ready to go!
“My influences over the years have been really anything and everything from Rock, Blues, Metal, Folk, Singer-songwriter, Jazz, various forms of Dance Music and everything in-between. I’d like to think that there’s a little bit of everything in there. I can say though that it’s all sincere and comes from the heart. The best I could wish for is that one or more of the songs connect with you so that you can make it your own. Give it a listen, and if you like what you hear, feel free to share the love and spread the word!”
Enjoy!
